“To educate yourself for the feeling of gratitude means to take nothing for granted, but to always seek out and value the kind that will stand behind the action. Nothing that is done for you is a matter of course. Everything originates in a will for the good, which is directed at you. Train yourself never to put off the word or action for the expression of gratitude.” – Albert Schweitzer
I have been, am now, and will always be a huge defender of public education. No, our system isn’t perfect, but we really try. I firmly believe that teachers have THE most important job on the planet (and I’m not just saying that because I am one). I am forever grateful to the many devoted teachers I have worked with and learned from over the years, and for the fabulous teachers who are now guiding my offspring. In a perfect world, every child in every nation would be able to receive an adequate education. Can you imagine how wonderful that would be?
