(Editor’s note: I am going back to the “picture a day” format, since it is apparently the only way I can stay caught up, and because this blog serves as my family journal, I really should make some attempt to stay current. It’s not as fun, but it’s better than nothing.)
Tonight we attended our city’s flag retirement ceremony. Todd and I loved the patriotism.
The boys loved the way the soldiers used flamethrowers to start the fire.
PS Don’t worry, this was totally legit. The United States Flag Code states: “The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem of display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.”
