Why, hello there! Yes, yes, I am still here. Not even particularly busy. I just haven’t been feeling the whole blogging thing lately. It’s probably because I’m lazy.
Unfortunately, I am also prone to experiencing excessive amounts of guilt. And not blogging makes me feel guilty, because it’s my only form of journaling. Seriously. I live in Utah and I don’t scrapbook. CRAZY!
What this means is that I have neglected to chronicle many important events in my life over the past few months. For instance:
The time that I was really bored and didn’t want to fold laundry so I checked out youarewhatyoulike.com instead, and it actually made me seem awesome. What is not awesome is the fact that I actually took a picture of my computer screen with my phone because I didn’t want to take the time to figure out how to do a screen cap.
The time that I took my cute little scouts skiing. If that isn’t dedication, I don’t know what is.
The time that Sarah rented a puppy for an afternoon. I am not even kidding.
The time that we made a giant batch of chocolate covered strawberries and ate them all in about five minutes. Although really, that happens at least weekly during strawberry season.
The time we almost froze to death at the Fire and Ice festival, so we went to Target to warm up and the munchkins thought it was the most amazing store they’d ever seen which led me to realize that my fear of taking multiple children shopping at the same time has maybe had just a few negative side effects.
And occasionally, some actual important stuff happens, like my grandparents’ SIXTIETH anniversary.
Aren’t they adorable?
Plus, lots of other stuff happened but I can’t remember any of it.
Why can’t I remember? That’s right – because I haven’t been blogging about and/or taking really bad pictures of everything I do lately. Which means that I will have absolutely nothing to pass on to my children about the wonderfully exciting time that was the beginning of 2013.
I know – it’s tragic.
Anyway….
What I’m trying to say is that I know that it’s lame, and Sarah absolutely HATES it when I do this, but I am falling back on the old “Picture a Day” format until I’m feeling the blogging love again. Be prepared for lots of short, boring entries and bad pictures. (By the way, for some reason half of my pictures have disappeared from my blog. No idea why. If you are reading a post with a giant blank spot in it, just imagine a really incredible picture of whatever I’m talking about.)
And Sarah, don’t freak out about me losing my readership, because I only have like three followers and I think they’re all related to me. Also, that video that you were worried about? The one where you tried to torture me into touching your deviated septum? Deleted. You’re welcome.
Oh, and because I believe in setting my standards really, really low, my goal is to do four entries a week. So it’s really more like “A Picture Every Other Day.”
Just remember, I’m awesome. And organized. I even have proof:
